Owned and operated by Village Roadshows Theme Parks division, the park opened on 3 June. The studios are the birth place of such movies as House of Wax, Scooby Doo, Peter Pan, Ghost Ship and Fortress as well as being used for some of the post-production work on the Matrix Trilogy. In addition to a theme park, the site is also an actual working studio with eight sound stages, three water tanks, ten production offices as well as all the required set building and costume facilities.
